2largesweet potatoes, peeled and sliced into thin fries
2tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
1teaspoonsmoked paprika
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoononion powder
0.5teaspooncoarse sea salt
0.25teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper
to tastefresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). To make the cleanup process easier, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a spacious mixing bowl, place the sliced sweet potatoes. Drizzle the olive oil over the fries, and toss well with your hands or a spatula, ensuring each piece is evenly coated for optimal flavor and texture.
In a separate small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix these spices thoroughly, then sprinkle the blend over the oiled sweet potatoes. Toss again until the fries are uniformly coated with the spice mixture.
Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer across the lined baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure each fry becomes perfectly crispy during baking.
Place the baking sheet in your preheated oven and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes. Remember to flip the fries halfway through cooking for even browning; they should emerge golden and crispy.
Once the fries have reached your desired crispiness, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for about 5 minutes. For an added burst of freshness and color, garnish with finely chopped parsley just before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, ensure fries are spread out evenly on the baking sheet.
