1lbskinless salmon fillet, cut into bite-sized cubes
3tablespoonsrich teriyaki sauce
1tablespoonnatural honey
1tablespoonaromatic sesame oil
2piecesgreen onions, finely chopped
1teaspoonminced garlic
1teaspoonfreshly grated ginger
to tastesesame seeds for garnish
to tastesalt and freshly cracked pepper
Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined, forming a flavorful marinade.
Carefully add the cubed salmon pieces to the marinade, ensuring each cube is thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl and allow the salmon to marinate for a minimum of 15-20 minutes to absorb the delicious flavors.
While the salmon is marinating, preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for approximately 5 minutes to ensure optimal cooking.
Lightly apply cooking spray to the air fryer basket to prevent any sticking during the cooking process.
Place the marinated salmon bites in a single layer within the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd them to allow for even cooking and crisping.
Cook the salmon bites in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, giving the basket a gentle shake halfway through to promote even browning. The salmon should emerge golden brown and fully cooked through.
After cooking, carefully remove the salmon bites from the air fryer and season them with a light sprinkle of salt and freshly cracked pepper to enhance flavor.
To serve, beautifully garnish the salmon bites with the chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for an appealing finish.
Notes
Serve with lime wedges and extra teriyaki sauce for dipping.
